About Biltmore Tutoring
A family-run tutoring and test prep center in Asheville
Since 2010, we’ve helped students across the educational spectrum with subject tutoring, test prep, and college counseling, always one-on-one.
Our story
Stacey Caskey spent years teaching in New York City and Asheville schools. Parents often asked her where they could find extra academic help for their children, and she saw that Asheville didn’t have strong local options.
In 2010, she and her husband, Brian, opened Biltmore Tutoring to fill that gap. Today we offer private subject tutoring, ACT, SAT, and SSAT prep, and college counseling at our center in Gerber Village.
Meet the owners
Stacey Caskey, MS, NBCT
Educational director and co-owner
Stacey grew up in Brooklyn and earned her degrees from Brooklyn College and Queens College. A National Board-certified educator, she taught in New York City schools for eleven years, moved to Asheville in 2001, and taught at Claxton Elementary from 2001 to 2010. She also leads our college counseling.
Brian Caskey, MA
Co-owner
Brian grew up in DeLand, Florida, and earned a biology degree from Stetson University and a graduate degree in Liberal Studies from UNC Wilmington. Before opening Biltmore Tutoring with Stacey, he worked in systems administration and digital project management.

We believe tutoring leads to achievement, and that parent involvement matters.
One-on-one
Private tutoring is our specialty, so each session is built around one student.
Master's degree minimum
Every Biltmore tutor holds at least a master’s degree.
Parents stay informed
Parents get online access to session notes from their student’s tutor.
Pre-learning
We help students preview upcoming topics, especially in AP and Honors courses.
A note to parents
Our advice is simple: be proactive in your child’s education, and expect academic success. If a hard unit is coming, start early. Preparing ahead is one of the best ways to build a student’s confidence.
