Many of you are aware that this has been in the works for some time, but Biltmore Tutoring just completed making the move to Gerber Village in South Asheville (exactly one mile south of our previous location in the Wilcox Travel Center). We will open in that location on January 2, 2018.
Our new address is 10 Crispin Court, Suite D-201. You will find all of the same administrative staff and all of your student’s favorite tutors in the new Gerber Village location.
The new location features a very quiet, upstairs location on Crispin Court – there is access from both the Crispin Court side and the Hendersonville Road side. One of the best things for our young drivers (this is something that was very important to us) is the fact that there are multiple ways to access a stoplight, whether students are coming down Gerber Road or turning directly onto Hendersonville Road.
We had the opportunity to design the center from the ground up, since nothing had ever been in this space before. So each tutoring room features 1″ thick drywall, thick insulation, heavy doors with a glass insert, walls that go from floor to ceiling, and even an insulated ceiling. This means that tutoring sessions will be extremely quiet and that your student will get even more out of every single session.
There is also plenty of natural light, which has been supplemented with energy efficient, motion-sensing LEDs in each room. Brand new Macintosh computers sit on every desk. Every chair and table is brand new and has been selected for maximum comfort and efficiency.
Our state-of-the-art classroom features a 65″ 4K television upon which instructors will be able to project class material. No more hot, noisy digital projectors!
Similarly, when you meet with one of our administrators to review your student’s progress or to engage in college counseling with your student, we will be meeting in one of our large, private meeting spaces and we will be able to project all relevant information onto those displays so that you can easily determine what the best course of action for your student will be.
We have always provided our students with high-energy snacks and cold bottles of Dasani water for their tutoring sessions. We have listened to parent suggestions, and since we are very sensitive to environmental issues at Biltmore Tutoring, we have purchased a state-of-the-art Brio water dispenser. This device will provide students with cold water which they can dispense into a paper cup or into their own water bottle.
Students will also be able to quickly make tea, if they choose, from the Brio’s hot water dispenser, and we have elected to move towards more healthy, high-energy snacks for our students (granola bars, fruit, etc).
We will continue to provide Keurig-branded coffee for parents and students, as well.
We are excited to present the new face of Biltmore Tutoring to our loyal customers, and we encourage you to stop in and take a look around! To get to the center, turn onto Gerber Road from either Hendersonville Road or Sweeten Creek, and then turn onto Crispin Court. Our entrance is through the first door on the left (there is also an elevator which provides access on the other side of the breezeway). We occupy the entire space above Charles Schwab and Wild Birds Unlimited.
Thank you for sharing in our new adventure!
