NC Moves 2050 Poster Contest

January 21, 2020 By Brian Caskey

The N.C. Department of Transportation wants to encourage the students of North Carolina to ‘Leap into the Future.’ NC Moves 2050, NCDOT’s strategic transportation plan, looks at the possible changes in transportation the next 30 years.

As our research into the future of transportation develops, the imagination of young minds is becoming increasingly realistic. With this contest, we want the next generation to visualize what these new innovations could look like.

If for only a moment, close your eyes and imagine your life in the year 2050.

Self-driving cars take you and your co-workers to work, You see fully electric autonomous trucks carrying freight to a local distribution center, where drones are delivering the freight.

You see larger drones delivering patients to a local hospital. Bike share stations and bike lanes are widely available and you can take the underground, electric train.

This is only the beginning. The possibilities are limitless, it’s time to pick up your favorite art supplies and share your dream!

All entries must be turned in or mailed and postmarked no later than Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, and must include a Certificate of Authenticity.
