The N.C. Department of Public Instruction released new information Tuesday showing how well North Carolina high school students performed on the SAT college admission test in 2014.
In the 18 westernmost counties of the state, overall results showed that students in the Asheville and Watauga County school systems achieved the highest SAT scores among the region’s 20 school systems.
It’s not too late to get into a four-year university this year – but students will have to act fast.
More than 220 public and private colleges and universities are still accepting applications for the fall 2015 semester, according to the National Association for College Admission Counseling’s annual College Openings Update.
